Carla brings a tremendous amount of knowledge and skills to any project. Her insight and expertise in the Healthcare environment provide a company with supreme confidence to pursue any project.
I worked with Carla Speights for over 10 years, and she has always been a professional. Her attention to detail as well as critical thinking skills are great. Carla’s leadership made it easy to communicate and collaborate with her.
MVP; describes Carla’s energy, integrity, dedication, dependability, and flexibility to work with those she engages with on any given project. To go beyond if necessary and do what is necessary so the team succeeds. She has designed, created, and re-created paths for students to optimize paths for engagement and learning, regardless of the engagement style presented. A subject matter expert in her field!
I worked with Carla Speights for many years and one word to describe her is PHENOMENAL. She was a Clinical Analyst on my team and with her hard work and effort, we successfully implemented an enterprise EHR and HIE for our primary care providers (which was no small feat). Carla has great project management skills, specializes in clinical workflows, and is a subject matter expert in integrating clinical and healthcare processes with technology.
Carla and I started working together in 2011 at the University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMS) where we worked together to implement the EpicCare Ambulatory EHR and Epic MyChart throughout UMMS faculty practices. Working with Carla was great! She is professional and has strong project management and HIT skills. She is also an excellent educator. Her positive energy is infectious and welcoming, which makes her a great colleague now friend.
Carla has been a valued adjunct faculty member at CCBC in our Continuing Education Health IT program since April 2011. Her 10+ years of classroom teaching and extensive industry experience and passion for teaching our students have made her a very successful adjunct professor and advisory board member offering guidance for the overall strategic direction of the program. She is a very dedicated professor and works well with a wide variety of students – and she meets each one of them where they are.
Poised professionally, persistent and a person you can trust are the top attributes that come to mind when I think of Carla. Carla and I first met at Children’s National Medical Center in the Project Management Office where we worked collaboratively across IT initiatives for several years. Carla possesses today’s much-needed and sought-after expertise in IT project management, analysis, product management, systems administration, and IT training across both the government and private sectors. I highly recommend Carla. She is an asset to any Health IT organization.
